CALORIS is a complete generative and compositional music workstation that lives in one HTML file. No install, no account, no internet needed open it in any modern browser and press Play.

What it is

• Multi-oscillator synthesizer: subtractive, additive, pulse, noise, full drum voices, samplers, and custom waves

• Drum machine with per-step control and a dedicated drum bus

• Weighted-probability sequencer so you or an AI can compose by shaping likelihoods, not by placing every note

• Full gain chain, convolution reverb, delay sends

• MIDI in and out allows you to drive hardware synths, or drive CALORIS from your DAW

• WAV and MIDI export

• A JSON patch format any AI composer can write: paste a composition from Claude, ChatGPT, or any model and hear it instantly

The complete user manual (13 chapters + appendix): quickstart, voices & patches, the sequencer, key & scales, the gain chain, MIDI in & out, saving/sharing/rendering, the full patch JSON reference, and a chapter on composing with an AI. Also included as standalone files: the patch contract (CALORIS_patch_schema.md / .json) — feed the .md to any AI composer instead of the whole app. Plus three ready-made example compositions: Sirocco (driving 128 BPM E-dorian groove), Tachyon (140 BPM peak energy), Kindling (104 BPM builder with a generative shaker), paste any one into the JSON panel and press Play.
